Nepal Visa
Indian citizens do not need to apply for the Nepal visa since it is a visa free country for Indian citizens.
If you are planning a Nepal trip from India, all you need is an identity proof like your Election Card that is issued by Election Commission or passport to enter Nepal.
NOTE(Only For Indians): If you are traveling to Nepal by Flight then Passport is Mandatory & If you are traveling to Nepal by Roadways then instead of Passport you can carry your Voters ID or Aadhar Card.

Traveling to Nepal is really cheap with Air India. But keep in mind their cheap tickets only include Carry-on Luggage. Usually flights to Kathmandu city are cheap, if you are travelling from Delhi. Use Skyscanner to see which flights are cheap that day.

BY ROAD:
Delhi, Patna & Siliguri are the 3 major places from where you can grab a bus for Nepal.
I will reccomend 1you to travel from Delhi to Kathmandu by official government bus.(DTC BUS)

BY TRAIN:
Cheapest option to reach Nepal is By Train but it takes time and you need to do booking in very advance as trains get booked very fast.
You can grab a train till Gorakhpur or Raxual from there cross the India – Nepal border by walking and then gran a shared Taxi or Local Bus to reach Kathmandu.
